Introducing the Fleur Collection

We’ve teamed up with The New York Botanical Garden once again for an encore collection of fine teas packaged in vintage botanical illustrations.

The perfect partnership is a lot like the perfect tea blend: when you discover it, you just know. When we collaborated with The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) in 2019 on the Jardin Collection, we knew we had created something special together. The public seemed to agree and the collaboration was such a success, we created a new offering: The Fleur Collection.

 

 

A WALK THROUGH THE GARDEN

Meant to evoke the feeling of walking through the fruits and flowers of The Garden itself, the collection’s blends were curated by our Sommelier and Director of Global Quality, Piotr Miga, who had this to say about the inspiration behind it all:

 

TEAS IN THIS COLLECTION

The Fleur Collection includes five organic tea blends, each packaged in custom botanical artwork borrowed from the NYBG Archives and meant to evoke pleasure from first glance to final sip. Two new blends accompany three of our best-sellers, with ingredients inspired by The Garden’s living collections. Hibiscus Blossom is an herbal tisane with the fragrance of deep pink hibiscus petals, the sweetness of apple and orange and calming rosehip. Peach Blossom, a white tea blend of peach, apple and marigold flowers, boasts an abundance of antioxidants and just a touch of caffeine.

 

In homage to the NYBG’s historic Mertz Library, the Fleur Collection’s packaging features the illustrations of three key figures from the 18th and 19th centuries: French botanical artists Étienne Denisse and Pancrace Bessa, and Belgian botanical artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté, whose work appeared on the packaging for last year’s NYBG collaboration, The Jardin Collection.

Founded in 1891, the NYBG is the most comprehensive botanical garden in the world, and we’re honored to support their work. To echo the spirit of last year’s collaboration, four percent of sales through retail outlets will support NYBG’s research, conservation, horticulture, and education efforts, making Fleur an excellent spring or summer gift for any enthusiast of fine tea and botanical preservation.

The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory at The New York Botanical Garden is a landmark of the NYBG campus. One if its highlight structures, the Palm Dome, houses towering palms, cycads and other tropical plants from around the world. The interior courtyard features a tropical water lily pond.
