ABOUT LEMON VERVAIN
Tea Type: Herbal Tea
A cup of Lemon Vervain tea has been embraced for its holistic protective antioxidant benefits and effectiveness in helping reducing fevers and to break up congestion due to cold.
Lemon Vervain also known as lemon verbana, is generally acknowledged to be the most intense citrus tasting herbs of all the lemon-scented plants. Fantastic for the digestive system and perfect after lunch or dinner.Because of its heavenly scent, which is a cross between licorice and camphor, it is widely used to imbue flavor and for its fragrant aroma. Lemon Vevain is indigenous to South America, namely Argentina, Chile and Peru. It is commonly cultivated in the tropics and Europe, and is grown commercially in France and North Africa. The plant bears small white flowers, and is characterized by the presence of fragrant, lemon-scented narrow leaves.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), a member of the mint family, is considered a "calming" herb. It was used in the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort associated with digestion.
